The programme is a joint initiative of the Salford Law School and the School of the Built Environment ("SOBE"). Brodie McAdam is based at SOBE and has administrative responsibility for the programme. Until 2006, when he joined SOBE, Brodie was a solicitor in a large commercial private law practice, specialising in the construction field. Further details of Brodie's interests are available by following this link.
Julie Adshead is the other programme leader and is based at the Law School. Julie entered academia in 1998 after a long period in industry and has taught in law schools in the North West since then, joining the University of Salford in 2002. Julie's research interests lie in environmental law, specifically; water law, land contamination, environmental liability and the law relating to 'green buildings'.
In addition to the University based lecturers, we are also assisted by other construction law academics and industry practitioners.
